Nortrip was launched in Norway in 2021 and has seen impressive growth. The concept consists of Nortrip hosts who offer Nortrip members one day's free accommodation at each location. The hosts operate everything from farm tourism, restaurants and nurseries, to mountain trees and cider production, and have a motivation to attract visitors.
As a member of Nortrip, known as a "Nortripper", you get access to a world of experiences by purchasing the Nortrip guide.
Simple, safe and free
Motorhome holidays offer a great deal of freedom, and Norway is perfect for motorhome touring for those who want to explore off the beaten track. But it's becoming harder to find safe and welcoming places for free camping. That's where Nortrip comes in. With the Nortrip guide, you get access to over 200 local hosts, which offers safe parking and unique experiences.
Scenic driving routes
That first summer, Nortrippers could choose from 30 hosts. Today, the number of hosts has increased to over 200, spread all over Norway, including along the national tourist routes. This gives you the opportunity to combine fantastic nature experiences with exciting stops at Nortrip hosts offering local food and drink.
Lots of food and drink
Nortrip places great emphasis on local food and drink, and many of the hosts are producers of local delicacies. You can sample everything from farm-produced cheese to cider and local fish. Although there's no obligation to buy, many Nortrippers appreciate supporting their hosts by buying local products.
Practical information
The Nortrip guide is available as an app and now costs 499 NOK. The guide gives you access to free parking at over 200 hosts and is updated annually to include new hosts and experiences.
